THURSDAY, April 23 Smithsonian Young Benefactors Happy Hour House of Sweden 2900 K Street NW, DC 20007 (Georgetown Waterfront, beside Sequoia) Metro: Foggy Bottom/GWU (Orange and Blue lines) 6pm - 8pm $10 Suggested Donation for the YB Culture4Kids Fund Nonmembers Welcome! RSVP to yb@si.edu by noon on Thursday, April 16 The Smithsonian Young Benefactors are invited to the Embassy of Sweden, and its Georgetown waterfront location in House of Sweden, to view three exhibitions, Everything is Connected, Visual Voltage, and Manna – Food in a New Light, all part of the Embassy’s spring program “Living Green.” After an introduction to the exhibitions by Mr. Lars Roth, Project Leader for “Living Green” and Second Secretary of Trade and Economic Affairs, and Mr. Mats Widbom, Cultural Counselor of the Embassy, attendees will be invited to view the exhibits while enjoying complimentary beer, wine, and refreshments. Due to security restrictions at the embassy, reservations are required, and all attendees must present a valid photo id for admittance. Be sure to bring your friends as our monthly happy hours provide nonmembers with a great venue for learning about our organization. And, as you're mixing and mingling, don’t forget to make a donation to the YB Culture4Kids Fund (suggested amount $10), which provides support for local area schoolchildren to attend the educational and cultural programs presented by The Smithsonian Associates, such as, Smithsonian Summer Camp and Discovery Theater performances.
