EatBar welcomes guests to wear their itchy, their fuzzy, their wooly and their synthetic sweaters to the gastropub’s Ugly Sweater Party on Sunday, December 19thfrom 6 PM – 1 AM.

Watch the classic holiday flick, “A Christmas Story,” while knocking back holiday cocktails, such as the spiked peppermint patty cocoaand housemade apple-infused bourbon. There will also be passed snacks, including popcorn and candy canes.

In exchange for the awesome and utter humiliation of actually wearing Nana’s lovingly hand-knit sweater in public, EatBar will give the winning best “worst sweater” the film’s iconic Leg Lamp.

No reservations are necessary to attend and admission is free.

This time of year, brewers from around the world give a token of appreciation back to their thirsty legions – in the form of kegs and bottles. We’re formally celebrating with EatBar’s Holiday Draft Series. Curated by Neighborhood Restaurant Group Beer Director Greg Engert, this year’s drafts include extremely rare and complex holiday brews, which serve as the perfect winter warmers and complement Executive Chef Barry Koslow’s nuanced cuisine.

Holiday beers include Santa’s Little Helper, a roasty Belgian Stout from the Danish gypsy brewing label Mikkeller, 3 French Hens, aged in French oak barrels from Bruery in Southern California and boasting vanilla and spice notes, and a special Christmas Ale with orange peels and clove notes from Schlafly Brewery in St. Louis.

All the holiday drafts are currently available on tap at EatBar and will be poured for as long as supplies last.
