For 20 years, Democratic Principles artist Elizabeth McClancy lived large as an evangelical Republican. In 1992, she earned a doctorate in the design and implementation of social and educational change initiatives. In 1998, the then-college department chair divorced her husband of 23 years and became a registered Democrat. In 2006, she picked up her first paintbrush. “It is possible to get from the ‘bubble’ of conventional conservatism to an authentic, liberated life, but I think it takes a metaphorical collision with a 10-ton truck!” Join Elizabeth for tea, a personal tour of her compelling paintings, and conversation.
