Award-winning chefs will unveil their mastery of cocoa and couture at the decadent Charity in Chocolate benefit event, featuring DC’s only Chocolate Fashion Show. 

Charity in Chocolate is hosted by  the Heart of America Foundation®(HOA), a DC-based nonprofit that combines volunteer service and literacy to support the needs of at-risk children in the D.C. area as well as nationwide.

Event attendees will be able to sample creations from the area’s top chefs – ending the night with Chocolate Fashion Show, featuring 15 models dressed in chocolate and edible accessories.

6:00–8:00 p.m. – Tasting stations, open bar, silent and live auctions

8:00–8:30 p.m. – Awards presented for Principal of the Year TBD and National Hero of the Heart Award, presentation to Leah Gansler, Founder of CharityWorks

8:30–9:00 p.m. – Chocolate Fashion Show

With a fresh, new event name and the same commitment to the education of D.C. area children living in poverty, HOA will host its 15th annual chocolate fashion show at the beautiful National Building Museum. Recognized as one of Washington DC’s Top 15 events, Charity in Chocolate showcases more than 50 award-winning chefs offering sweet and savory bites, with more than 900 guests and a highly anticipated chocolate fashion show. Proceeds from the event support HOA’s Books From The Heart™ programwhich provide books to DC children living in poverty.
