National Geographic 125th Birthday Party

Sunday, January 13, National Geographic will mark its 125th Anniversary with a birthday party at National Geographic Museum.

The Museum will be offering free Georgetown Cupcakes to guests (while supplies last) in addition to our special anniversary "Frame What Matters" photo props, which allow users to give their own photos the signature Nat Geo yellow border.

The museum's current exhibits include Birds of Paradise, 1001 Inventions, Desert Air, and American West- all of which will be open.

Also, we'll be hosting a Google+ Hangout on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. featuring explorers James Cameron, Jane Goodall, Robert Ballard, and others in the field on every continent who will take questions from the public regarding the new age of exploration.

Adults – $8
Members/Military/Seniors (over 62)/Students/Groups (25+) – $6
Children (ages 5–12) – $4
Museum Admission plus 3-D Movie – $10
3-D Movie – $5
Photography exhibitions in the Museum’s M Street gallery and outdoors are free.
