Now in its 16th year, Architecture Week 2014 is an 11-day festival that spotlights DC’s architectural landmarks, neighborhoods, and cultural institutions. Over 20 architecturally-themed building tours, walking tours, book signings, social events, and exhibitions of interest to adults, children, architects, and the public.
Program highlights include the Architecture Week opening party at the Mandarin Oriental Art Gallery featuring work by architectural photographer Ron Blunt (4/21); a walking tour detailing the dramatic changes along the 14th Street corridor (4/26); the opening of the "ENCOUNTERS" exhibition at the District Architecture Center (4/30); a lecture and book-signing of "The Greening of Architecture" with Phillip Tabb (4/22); and the Architecture Week closing party at the District Architecture Center celebrating this year's AIA|DC Washingtonian Residential Design Awards winners (5/1).
