G-FEST promotes diversity and educates participants about world languages and cultures.
Meet embassies, cultural organizations, performance groups, our Teaching Fellows and other GLNers as they represent their countries’ cultures and traditions through booths, performances, language lessons and games!
Last year, during G-FEST 2013 we represented more than 20 countries, featured 6 cultural performances and attracted more than 500 guests. G-FEST 2014 will be bigger, better and even more fun! Here's a taste of what we are planning:
Country Cultural Booths: embassies from around the world and various cultural organizations will showcase their cultures at our Cultural Booths. Featured countries include Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Haiti, Honduras, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Tanzania, Uzbekistan and many more!
Cultural Performances: Traditional song and dance, including Eastern European folk dancing, Taiku, Bhangra dances, Korean fusion dance, Argentine tango and more!
Language Lessons: Want to window shop for a new language? Swing by our 15-minute lesson demos, sample a language, and meet our Teaching Fellows.
- GLN Raffle: Enter our raffle for a chance to win awesome prizes including gift cards from local restaurants, theaters, museums, yoga studios, gyms, and more!
G-FEST 2014 is open to the public and FREE of charge for visitors and participating organizations. Facebook event link!
