Celebrate the harvest season of the most iconic fruit -  the grape – at award-winning mezze restaurant Zaytinya. José Andrés and his team, lead by Head Chef Michael Costa, will commemorate this event with a two-week festival, which will run from September 9th – 28th. This marks Zaytinya’s fourth year celebrating this cherished fruit of Mediterranean cuisine, with food and cocktail specials along with an exclusive dinner with premier Champagne House Billecart – Salmon.

The celebration will kick off with grape inspired menu specials including Mutancene, Border Spring Farm lamb shank braised with raisins, almonds and dried plums; Squash Dolmades, grape leaves stuffed with short grain rice, raisins, and local fall squash; and Bronzino Marinato, sashimi grade Mediterranean sea bass, nasturtium leaves and flowers, and green grape juice. Additional details from the menu are below. In addition to menu specials, Zaytinya will feature a special “Heard it Through the Grape Pine” cocktail made with Lillet Blonde, retsina and garnished with a green grape juice ice cube. A house-made grape soda will also be available for $6.

To close out the celebration, Zaytinya will host a Greek Harvest Patio Party on September 20th from 12 pm – 4 pm. In the spirit of ancient Greek tradition, guests are invited to stomp grapes on the patio for an afternoon filled with live music and wine tastings for an entry fee of $10.
