Hundreds of partygoers will join some of the 65,000 “residents” of the Historic Congressional Cemetery for the graveyard’s annual Halloween celebration!

This event raises money to support the Congressional Cemetery’s operations and mission to conserve the grounds and infrastructure, serve the community as a resource, and celebrate American heritage.

The spook-tacular celebration puts a distinctive spin on the traditional Halloween party as the cemetery is transformed into DC's happiest haunt. The event features twilight tours of the cemetery grounds, a costume contest, access to the Public Vault, entertainment, and more. Guests will also enjoy food & drink in a heated tent when not out touring and mingling with some of the cemetery’s most notable residents, such as former first lady Dolley Madison, silent film actress Mary Fuller, and Lincoln assassination conspirator David Herold.

Tickets: Visit www.congressionalcemetery.org for more information and links to purchase tickets. General Admission tickets are $70 and include four drink tickets. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $85 and include entrance to the party at 7 p.m. and an exclusive VIP open bar.

Costumes are strongly encouraged for all attendees!

Founded in 1807, this 35-acre historic burial ground is located in Washington, DC’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. The Historic Congressional Cemetery became the first truly national burial ground in the United States as Congress bought sites, buried noted civil servants, and funded its infrastructure. Among its burials are scores of noteworthy citizens who left their mark on the city and the nation. Historic Congressional Cemetery is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
