It promises to be a fanciful, fruitful and florid night at the Black Squirrel on Friday, starting at 5 p.m., when thirteen varieties of the black stout stuff will be coursing through the venue’s tap lines.
Here is the list:
· Bear Republic Big Bear Black Stout (2013, 8.1%),
· Elysian Split Shot Espresso Milk Stout (5.6%),
· Founders Imperial Stout (10.5%),
· Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout (2012 and 2013, 14%),
· Great Lakes Blackout Stout (2013, 9%),
· Holy City/RJ Rockers Half Calf Coffee Milk Stout (7.3%),
· Monocacy Brewtus Imperial Coffee Stout (8.6%),
· Perennial Sump Coffee Stout (2013, 10.3%),
· RJ Rockers Good Boy (6.5%),
· Saucony Creek Schnickelfritz Chocolate Cherry Imperial Milk Stout (8%),
· Smuttynose Imperial Stout (9.8%), and
· Wild Wolf Dry Stout (Nitro, 4%).
The chef, as always, will concoct a specialty item — a house-ground, nine-ounce, stout-infused burger, courtesy of Anderson Valley Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout.
