Embassy of Switzerland Presents Diccon Bewes on "Swissness"

Get an authentic picture of today’s Switzerland and explore the many facets of so-called Swissness.

British author Diccon Bewes, who has made the Swiss capital his home, has been an acute observer of the Alpine country for many decades. The writer of two bestselling books, Swiss Watching and Slow Train, he has given several talks on the meaning of Swissness and has proposed an original understanding of Swiss politics from an outsider’s perspective.  

A Q&A session will follow the 30-minute talk, and there will be a light reception featuring Swiss wine and cheese at the end of the event hosted by The Swiss Club of Washington DC.
