VELOCE TO HOST BREAKFAST PIZZA POP-UP WITH COMPASS COFFEE

Forthcoming quick service pizza restaurant to preview breakfast menu on April 11

What:              Veloce, a quick service pizza restaurant opening this spring from the founder and chef of Pizzeria Paradiso, Ruth Gresser, will host a breakfast pizza pop-up with local coffee roasters, Compass Coffee. When the downtown location opens, Veloce will exclusively serve Compass Coffee alongside their selection of breakfast pizzas. The pop-up will be hosted on the sidewalk in front of Compass Coffee’s Shaw location, featuring breakfast items including:

                        Pizzas:

·       The Pig: Scrambled Eggs, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Roasted Mushrooms, Red Onions, Italian Cheeses (Pecorino, Fontina, Parmesan)

·       The Flag: Scrambled Eggs, Mozzarella, Italian Cheeses, Roasted Cherry Tomatoes

 

Breakfast Calzone:

·       The Harvest: Whole Wheat Crust, Scrambled Eggs, Spicy Garlic Pesto, Spinach, Roasted Mushrooms, Red Onions, Roasted Cherry Tomatoes

 

Pocket

·       The Sammy: Smoked Salmon, Herbed Mascarpone, Capers, Red Onions, Cherry Tomatoes. **Note: served cold

 

**All menu items will be $5 and can be paid for with cash or credit card**

 

Marra Forni, a local company specializing in building Neapolitan style pizza ovens, custom made Veloce’s 6,000-pound oven. A smaller, mobile oven from Marra Forni will cook the pizzas from the 7th Street sidewalk.
