The 9th annual Northern Virginia Summer BrewFest, presented by Mad Fox Brewing Company (novabrewfest.com), returns to the Special Events Center at Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville, VA, on Saturday, June 18th and Sunday, June 19th.
More than 45 regional breweries will be on hand for the two-day BrewFest with tastings of seasonal beers, ciders and meads, as well as educational programs in the BrewED tent, live music, a cornhole tournament, and other activities throughout the weekend.
“We’re excited to celebrate Father’s Day weekend with beer lovers from all over the region out at Bull Run next month,” says Mad Fox founder and executive brewer Bill Madden. “Beer isn’t just a ‘guy thing’ anymore. As more women and families come out to the BrewFest each season, we continue to add new vendors and activities to keep the whole family entertained!”

BrewED Tent
Want to know more about craft beer? Join us in the BrewED tent throughout the weekend for panels featuring a range of topics by industry experts, including (panel topics are subject to change):
· Homebrewing 101 – an interactive discussion featuring experts from The Brew Shop in Arlington, the Home Brewer’s Club, and Brewers United for Real Potables (BURP).
· Blind Beer Tasting with the Brewers – Saturday’s session will feature India Pale Ales; Sunday looks at Pilsners. Brewers will talk about the style, then take the audience through a blind tasting of a flight of brews.

Author & local historian Garrett Peck and brewvana collectors Rayner Johnson will take a look at the past on Saturday. On Sunday, we’ll turn our eye to the future with the likes of Heroic Aleworks Head Brewer, Leon Harris (the brewery is set to open this fall).
· Food & Beer Pairing – an interactive tasting of pairings from various food vendors and breweries at this year’s BrewFest.
Panel discussions will be held both Saturday and Sunday starting around 1pm. All sessions will last approximately 1 hour, and are open to all BrewFest ticket holders.
