On Saturday, August 27, follow your nose—and ears—to BOURBON STEAK at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC as it gets down and dirty with its second annual “Bourbon & Blues” event. As an early kick off to Bourbon Heritage Month in September, this sizzling shindig lives up to its name,literally, with three hours of foot-stomping live blues, signature bourbon cocktails by head bartender Torrence Swain, wine, beer and a sprawling buffet of Southern-style barbeque by executive chef Joe Palma.
Taking over the spacious courtyard patio from 12-3PM, “Bourbon & Blues” will feature bourbons from DC’s own One Eight Distilling and Jos. A Magnus & Co. Distillery along with a one-of-a-kind, single-barrel Mint Julep Ale from Flying Dog Brewery of Frederick, MD. Chef Palma will showcase his meat-centric side with an array of all-you-can-eat favorites. Dig into Picked BBQ Pork Shoulder; go big with Texas Style Braised Lamb Shoulder & Beef Brisket; or boogie down with Memphis Style Dry Rubbed Pork Ribs. The feast also features classic cookout sides like Cheddar Mac & Cheese, Jalapeno Dill Coleslaw, Scallion Cornbread and Chesapeake Crab Salad. Just be sure to save room for dessert withBlue & Blackberry Cobbler, Peaches & Sweet Tea Doughnuts and Strawberry Shortcake & Sweet Cream Biscuits.
