SMITHSONIAN at 8’s annual garden party has become a popular tradition.
This year, gather under the new moon to celebrate all the things that light up the dark. With the towers of the historic Smithsonian Castle silhouetted against the night sky and the pathways of the Victorian-style Haupt Garden aglow, you can’t ask for more inviting places to spend a fall evening—or a better opportunity to enjoy them than an after-hours party.
The event features strolling performers, music inside and out, a glow-in-the-dark hands-on activity, a trivia contest spotlighting things that glow at the Smithsonian, drinks, and more. Come decked out with a note of neon to make the night even brighter. Get your glow on!

SPECIAL FEATURES FOR VIP TICKET-HOLDERS: Exclusive early access to the event beginning at 7 p.m., with an open bar featuring beer, wine, and specialty cocktails and small bites. Please note these VIP benefits are only available between 7 and 8 p.m.
Note: The party happens no matter the weather! In case of rain, we’ll move inside the historic Smithsonian Castle.
