Square Dancing

It's definitely hip to be square!

It's almost fall and the DC Square Dance is roaring back into town! Hoot & Holler, a hot young duo out of Asheville, NC, will lay down the tunes -- that's Amy Alvey on fiddle and Mark Kilianski on guitar, joined by Brad Kolodner on banjo and Alex Lacquement on bass, both from Baltimore. And we're super excited to have caller Hannah Johnson from Keezletown, Virginia making her Saint Stephens debut.

All are welcome – young and old, brand new and experienced dancers. No partner, lessons, overalls, or fancy dress needed!

Time: Doors at 8:00 pm; Dancing from 8:30 to 11:30 pm.

RSVP on Facebook (optional!)

Admission: $5 cash or check at the door - sorry, no credit cards.

Snacks and drinks to share are welcomed.

Folks from outside the neighborhood, we recommend taking the metro! St. Stephens is a short walk from the Columbia Heights station on the green/yellow line. For drivers, there is a garage below the mall on Park Rd. at 14th St, or you may be able to find street parking.

This dance is sponsored by the Folklore Society of Greater Washington.
