Hostelling International
In celebration of Passport to DC, Hostelling International-Washington, DC invites the local community to a multicultural open house. Come explore diverse cultures through fun activities, dance, food, and music. Don't miss a breathtaking Cuban music concert by Orchestra Sabor Latino.
The FREE open house features:
- a henna tattoo design session
- a West African drumming performance
- a Mongolian music performance
- an Afro- Carribean dance performance
- international food samples (i.e. samosas, Mongolian dumplings, falafels)
- Peace Corps booths representing Jordan, South Africa, Moldova & Mongolian
- a photo booth
- a tea leaf reading
- and a spicy West African ginger juice shot stand.
The event is FREE, but RSVP is required.
Hostelling International - Washington, DC (HI-DC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization that promotes cultural understanding through safe and affordable travel. To fulfill our mission, we coordinate programs that ease cultural exchange among young adults from diverse cultural backgrounds.
