Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum
Join the museum in celebrating 50 years of being the premier cultural institution east-of-the-river! Live performances on an outdoor stage include Experience Unlimited (EU) with Sugar Bear, 17th Street Dance of the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, Pepe Gonzalez, Wong People, Garfield Elementary School Band, Crazee Praize Nation, The JoGo Project, and Tradiciones Bolivianas. There will also be food trucks, art activities for the kids, storytelling, a vendor’s marketplace, special appearance by WPGC-FM morning host Joe Clair, and more. Activities will take place inside and outside of the museum.

Free parking at Our Lady Perpetual Help Church (with free shuttle 1600 Morris Rd SE, Washington, DC 20020), free parking at Fort Stantion Recreation Center (across the street, no shuttle, 1812 Erie St SE, Washington, DC 20020), and free shuttle from the Anacostia Metrorail Station (green line, pick ups at 10:45am, 11:45am, 12:45pm, 1:45pm, 2:45pm, 3:45pm).
