Experience an Evening of the Finest Bourbons at Old Hickory Steakhouse

The bourbon industry saw a spike in popularity in 2016, and that trend doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. For those looking for their next bourbon experience, Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center’s signature restaurant, Old Hickory Steakhouse, is preparing its inaugural Bourbon Dinner to kick-off National Harbor’s Wine and Food Festival on Friday, April 28 at 7 p.m.

The restaurant’s executive chef has crafted a six-course menu pairing bourbon-infused, farm-fresh fare with single and small batch bourbons from distilleries that include Buffalo Trace and Blanton’s. Guest will taste their way through mouthwatering dishes including a bourbon-marinated flat iron steak, bourbon-glazed Duroc pork belly, citrus orange-habanero vinaigrette salad, roasted cauliflower with a bourbon vinaigrette, bourbon-brined organic chicken with a vanilla waffle and apple torte with a smoky bourbon salted caramel sauce.

If that doesn’t sound like enough, each table also features sweet and salty accoutrements to enjoy with the bourbon-selects, which are comprised of some of the most popular and complex bourbons currently on the market. Participants will sample  E.H. Taylor Rye Cocktail “Vieux Carre,” Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare Single Barrel, 1792 Single Barrel, Blanton’s Single Barrel and E.H. Taylor Small Batch.

The Bourbon Dinner, which will be presented by a bourbon specialist, is designed to appeal to both bourbon aficionados and novices alike. Attendees also will have the opportunity to purchase cigars from Old Hickory Steakhouse’s humidor to enjoy on the outdoor terrace at the conclusion of the event.

The dinner costs $130* per person and has limited availability. Pre-purchase is required.
