When the month of April rolls around, it's time to take Crawfish eatin’ seriously. Crawfish Boils were cool before the pop-culture craze of anything Southern became a trend. Any New Orleanian knows that the first signs of spring begin with the kick off of festival season from French Quarter Fest to Jazz Fest. Bringing in the biggest, juiciest, plumpest mudbugs up from the waterways of Louisiana, two Southern-inspired restaurants in the DC area will be boiling up crawfish in true N’awlins fashion.
Acadiana, the Louisiana style fish-house in Washington, DC, will be firing up the season with an upcoming Crawfish Boil on Saturday, April 29 from 2-5PM on the patio. Tickets are $65 per person, all-inclusive, and include all-you-can-eat Spice-broiled Crawfish, Steamed Gulf Shrimp, House-made Andouille Sausage, Gumbo, Corn on the Cob, Fruit Hand Pies, Pralines and more.Live music by a New Orleans-style jazz and Zydeco band will give us sounds from Cajun country.Door prizes will add a spirited edge. Throughout the afternoon, guests can enjoy a selection of draft beers and house wine. A full cash bar is available with an array of choices and French Quarter-style Cocktails. Tickets are available for purchase online here.
