The Embassy of the Czech Republic invites you to a special basketball game as part of Czech Heritage Night with the Washington Wizards, featuring Czech star Tomáš Satoranský on March 5, 2017, at 5pm.

The Wizards host Czech Heritage Day as a way for the Czech community to get together to enjoy an evening of basketball and cheer for Wizards Czech star Tomáš Satoranský. Bring a small Czech flag, no bigger than the length of your shoulders, to root on Satoranský as the Wizards take on the Orlando Magic.

Tomáš Satoranský hails from Prague, Czech Republic and is a member of the Czech Republic National Team. In 2007, at 15 years old, he played in the Czech men’s top basketball division, becoming the youngest player in its history to play in the league. In 2008, he became the MVP of U18 European Championship Division B. He joined the men’s national team as the youngest player in history. At a height of 6 ft. 7 in., the 25-year-old point guard has spent a great amount of his career playing internationally. Prior to being drafted by the Washington Wizards, he played for USK Praha (2007-2009), and then went on to play for Baloncesto Sevilla (2009–2014), and FC Barcelona Lassa (2014-2016). He made his Washington debut with the Wizards in 2016.
