By Friedrich Schiller and Peter Oswald
A staged reading of Peter Oswald's translation of Friedrich Schiller's unfinished 1604 play. When a man appears claiming to be Demetrius, the long-dead heir to the Russian czar, the Polish government must decide whether or not to invade Russia on his behalf. Oswald completes Schiller's play in his translation, covering everything from the reign of Ivan the Terrible to modern-day excursions into Iraq and Afghanistan.
ReDiscovery Reading plays are chosen by Artistic Director Michael Kahn and presented
