BYOB(oat) and celebrate the longest day of the year on Wednesday, June 21, with Washington Canoe Club and Potomac Riverkeeper Network for a RiverPalooza 2017 Monuments paddle beginning in Georgetown. Enjoy a barbecue from 5-6:30 pm before the guided paddle tour around Roosevelt Island. All barbecue sides will be provided by King Street Blues; just bring something for the grill! A paddle safety talk will begin promptly at 7 pm, with a two-mile paddle trip (suitable for beginners!) from 7:30-9 pm. Paddlers should drive to the end of Water Street to drop off their boat at 3700 Water Street, where staff can stay with your boat while you park your car. Register today, celebrate the Summer Solstice, and learn more about the continued importance of protecting the Potomac!
