DC Rises

At the beginning of last year at the inauguration almost 200 protestors, including journalists and medics, were kettled by police for hours, abused and arrested. They were then charged for up to 60 years under 6 umbrella charges, for just Being There. Last week 6 defendants we're justly aquited on the absurdity of all charges by a jury, but 188 still wait.
☂ This month with @artsxaction and others we celebrate a year of resistance fundraiser for the defendants by documenting the art and action of that day, and other protest movements in DC that followed.
