The Heurich House Museum will open its first floor to the explore the first floor of the house, purchase a taste of this month's sponsor beer by DC Brau Brewing Company, and listen to a concert featuring Noah Getz (saxophone), Jeffrey Chappell (piano), Pepe Gonzalez (bass), and Richard Seals (drums) as they trace the history of Jazz through years the Heurich family lived in their Washington, DC home.
On tap for this even is DC Brau's "El Hefe Speaks." This collaboration with John “Solly” Soloman and Chris Frashier of Old Dominion fame presents a traditional German Hefeweizen that shines as the antidote to a muggy summer’s day. Join IA&A at Hillyer Art Space with the opening of our two new exhibitions featuring Italian artist, Emilio Cavallini, and Baltimore-based artist Carrie Fucile. Presented in partnership with the Embassy of Italy in Washington D.C. and the Italian Cultural Institute, Objectual Abstractions features a 20-piece retrospective by famed fashion designer and artist Emilio Cavallini. Through sound, installation, and performance, Carrie Fucile’s exhibition, Drift, addresses issues of territorial and bodily boundaries, political upheaval, and global capital.
