Join us at the Velo Cafe this August 2nd at 6:00pm for our first movie night and community "film-raiser" event with the Yale-China Association, a grassroots nonprofit with a century-long history of people-to-people exchange and community-building in both China and the US.
We’ll be screening Wolf Warrior II, a breakout Chinese move - a poignant and provocative adventure film whose success shocked just about everyone - and at the same time support continued grassroots engagement during turbulent times. Interested in China or international affairs? Looking for new communities of interest? Like a wild new movie experience? Come watch one of China’s highest grossing movies and Academy Awards nominee for “Best Foreign Language” with us.
There’s no cover or tickets for this event but since this is a fundraiser we’re asking for folks to "pay what you can," with a recommended purchase of a drink and snack from the Velo Cafe's locally sourced menu.
The first 40 people who arrive will also get an awesome gift bag courtesy of the Yale-China Association.
