Goodwill is Popping Up Fashion (and Much More)!

On Tuesday evening, the Goodwill of Greater Washington’s Young Professionals Council and Gensler global design and architecture firm hosted a soiree celebrating the opening of their first “pop up” shop, Edited by Goodwill, at the Pepco Edison Place Art Gallery.

We got a first look at the select vintage and contemporary men/women’s clothing, accessories, and shoes available at bargain prices. The pop up shop also features home furnishings and décor coordinated by lively colors like bright pink, yellow, orange, and red. All selections are “edited” in order to deliver the boutique-like feel that fashionistas/fashionistos crave, while maintaining the thrill of discovering that hidden gem and supporting Goodwill’s tireless efforts to improve workforce development for the area’s most vulnerable citizens.

The evening’s festivities also featured hair and makeup consultations by the Paul Mitchell school in Tysons Corner, as well as BIG news on future happenings like a DIY fashion competition and Goodwill’s signature Runway Show and Gala on September 27th, La Passione de Milano! But hurry, because registration for the DIY fashion competition ends August 8th and the winning designer’s outfit will be featured in La Passione de Milano’s runway show at the Embassy of Italy!

Be sure to snag your next treasure at Edited by Goodwill from August 1-3 at Pepco Edison Place Art Gallery. Goodwill is bringing in new items everyday, so you never know what you’ll find (one lucky fashionista even snagged a Ralph Lauren dress) while helping a wonderful cause!

Happy hunting!
