Earlier this month, DC area running speciality retail brand,  Pacers Running, celebrated the grand opening of its 6th retail location in the Navy Yard’s Boilermaker Shops. Paying homage to the historical 1919 former Navy Yard building, the latest Pacers Running store sports various fixture elements salvaged from old Naval ships designed by local industrial designer, Jim Devault of Carbon Industrial. Guests celebrated the grand opening with beer and light bites by BlueJacket, complimentary footwear fittings, and special deals all night long!

Pacers spacious new 2,016 square foot houses a Run Lab, which provides personalized gait analyses via an in-store treadmill and one-on-one fittings for footwear, apparel and accessories. In keeping with the tradition of Pacers other stores, the Navy Yard location will serve as a community hub for runners of all levels with weekly fun runs hosted by Pacers’ knowledgable running experts, as well as participating in area fitness events like the upcoming Veterans Day 10K and Tidal Basin Walk !
